NOTICE OF ELECTION - MONROE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS
FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2 - MONROE TOWNSHIP, MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE LEGAL VOTERS OF MONROE TOWNSHIP FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2 that a fire district election will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, between the hours of 2 pm and 9 pm prevailing time.
PURPOSE OF ELECTION
The purpose of this fire election is to vote for two (2) commissioners and an operating budget of $6,306,519.00 of which $6,119,519.00 is to be raised by taxation for the 2026 calendar year.
VOTE BY MAIL OPTION
Mail-in ballot applications are available in the County Clerk's office and on their website. The County Clerk's office must receive Mail-in Ballot Applications by mail seven days before the election date. Any mail-in voter who fails to apply in writing may apply in person or by authorized messenger to the County Clerk's office up to 3 pm prevailing time the day before the election.

PETITIONS OF NOMINATION FOR COMMISSIONER
Petitions for commissioner are available in the Monroe Township Emergency Services Building and on their website station57.org. All candidates for commissioner must file their petition by 3 pm prevailing time on Friday, January 23, 2026.

POLLING LOCATION, DATE, & TIME
This election will be held at the Monroe Township Emergency Services Building located at 10 Halsey Reed Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, between 2 pm and 9 pm prevailing time.
